Plan a Romantic Candlelit Dinner at Home

You’ve gotta start somewhere, so why not at the beginning. Invite your partner to a romantic candlelit dinner, just the two of you, at home. Set the table. Use the good dishes. Pick up fresh candles. Formally making a date out of it in advance is important because it reduces the chance of your night being rescheduled or having your hopes dashed because one of you has to work late or do something else that gets in the way. Plan for it, put it on the calendar, and don’t cancel unless it’s a life or death situation.

Choose a Recipe that Contains Aphrodisiac Ingredients

You can make your partner’s favorite meal, but let’s face it – there’s nothing sexy about pot roast and mashed potatoes with gravy. In fact, not only are his favorite meals totally not hot, they’re probably very heavy – which defeats the purpose of taking this dinner to the bedroom. Finally - this is the part where you put the cherry on top! Leave the dishes for later and head to the bedroom to savor each other. Feel free to bring in a few sweet accessories like strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup; there’s nothing better than satisfying your sugar fix while you’re gettin’ your bump and grind on. Remember to take your time, too (especially important of your partner; you just made an incredible meal after all), since these opportunities don’t happen frequently. Plus, if you do it right, neither one of you will have to go to the gym the next day. Score!
